Loan-to-Value Ratio (LTV) is the percentage of the sales price or appraised value, which ever is LESS.

Calculare LTV

The higher the loan to value ratio the more risk the borrower assumes with the loan. A good LTV is usually considered 80% or lower. Conventional mortgages with LTV ratios greater than 80% typically require private mortgage insurance (PMI).
